Questioning
What is it?
Questioning is the second type of reading power. It is when you are asking questions about the thoughts and actions of a character or situation in a book. You know it is a deep thinking question when you really have to think like the character or about the situation to answer it.
Example:
When Jasmine sees her best friend Sienna with her chocolate brown hair billowing in the wind. Her wide hazel eyes frantic trying to find her cell phone in her massive purse, she couldn't help but laugh. She had to run but planned on calling Sienna later that day. Jasmine didn't want to leave but she had to get to work no matter what might happen once she got there.
Questions:
Why couldn't Jasmine spare a couple of minutes to talk to her friend? Where is Sienna going? What could have happened at work to make her so worried?
